Easington is best known in football circles as the birthplace of Steve Harper, but the city has produced 33 documented association football players in total. Other notable players include Jimmy Trotter, Stuart Brightwell, Chris Brass and Barry Hawkes. Documented players span more than 99 years, from 1884 to 1983.
